I have been writhing in misery for the last few days courtesy of the... *cues dramatic music...dun! Dun! Dun!* INFLUENZA virus.
NOOOOOOOOO!
But still, through it all, I have been sticking to my goals. I really could do without the night sweats, the coughing, congestion and the achy fatigued muscles but hey...whatever. The point is I am making it happen.
I even pushed through yesterday at my day job, completely ignoring my body's cries for rest -like the "team player" that I strive to be. And as a result, today my body was like, "take yo' ass to the doctor." So I did and made sure I received my note to stay home for the next day to recuperate. Yes, I am drinking tea and yes, I have eaten soup and for the love of all things extraordinary, I am resting.
But aint enough coughing, sneezing or body aches to keep me away from my pen!
Anyways, this was just a midweek pop in blog. I told you, I am going to be more active here (I mean it is my website, DUH!)
Also, have you read The Lost Queen? And if not, WHY?
Just kidding.
Let me get back to work and quit playing. But for those of you who are and or will be in the Los Angeles County area on August 24, 2019, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, you can come see me at The Leimert Park Book Fair. And then after that, you can find me in Atlanta on September 7th at the Atlanta Technical College for the Literary Evolution event.
